My Approach

I work from a strengths-based philosophy while not ignoring your weaknesses and/or challenges.

What I believe

Students have strengths, and it is important that they recognize what their strengths are.

Students can build on their strengths while minimizing the effects of their weaknesses or challenges.

Students may only need a session or two of academic strategizing or they may need ongoing support. Regardless, I believe students can learn to thrive and succeed in their academic pursuits and beyond.

Why I want to work with you

Whoever you are as a student – neurotypical or neurodivergent – you might find yourself needing some support, another perspective, and/or some tools to realize your academic goals.

This is where I can help

I know the factors that impact students’ success—as well as what causes them to fail. From my experience teaching online, I have seen the differences between in class and online learning. Online learning offers students maximum flexibility. However, with such flexibility comes less structure and less connection to instructors and peers, both key elements in most individuals’ academic journeys.

As a result, you might find yourself struggling with structure, motivation, and connection. With no set class times, you will need to structure your days in terms of your own learning. You will need to be self motivated and accountable to yourself. You may feel overwhelmed and want to give up. This is where resilience becomes critical.

You may yearn for connection with others, a normal desire for community. It’s amazing how the energy of one person can positively impact another.

I can help you overcome these challenges, get into your own flow of learning, and succeed in your studies.

Seize the opportunity to develop skills that will help you now and in the future.
